Ettore Sottsass, Italian designer
To mark the centenary of his birth, we offer you a selection of images from the famous Italian designer Ettore Sottsass.
Recognised as founder of the Memphis movement, Ettore Sottsass was simultaneously a ceramist, glassmaker, architect, illustrator, committed intellectual and three times winner of the prestigious Compasso d'Oro.
While two exhibitions in Venice dedicated to his work have recently closed, the Château de Montsoreau and the Metropolitan Museum in New York continue to celebrate the artist until October.
